Gen-X is somehow logistic, who thinks of the pros and cons and does
not follow anybody's footstep blindly. The reason being, that today's
generation has the freedom to express their thoughts and ideas with
better access to knowledge. In the contemporary world they are not
left with any choice, if they have to get success in life, they
should be aware of what is going around them.

"Today world has changed a lot, youngsters have an easy access
to technology, every house has a computer with internet access,
internet being a global platform, youngsters can spread their message
in the whole world in more interactive and better way," says
Dr Suresh C Sharma, Principal, Motilal Nehru College.
They sound more practical and decisive. They seek logic for everything
before taking a step. But this was the case 50 years back. Rather,
a person used to follow his family trend.
Today youth speak their mind. There are many students like Varun
Lamba a cadet in AP Moller Maersk who orate, " I belong to
a business family. My grand father wanted me to join the family
business too. But I have been very adamant since my childhood. Ships
are the only things I ever dreamt of.
"My family was against my decision. They tried there best
to brush up my mind. And see, today I am in the world's best shipping
corporation. They were very angry in the beginning of my career
but now they have respectfully accepted it," adds Varun
Rohan Swing of Lucknow University says "I have a different
view point. My dad is a banker and he wants me to be an accountant
too. But I have interest in Bollywood. Its surely a wise way to
have a cool bank balance."
As we have this practical Gen-X, we can hope that our country's
future is in right hands, which not only think about themselves
but they of their country also. Jai Hind!
