 Birthday

It was my fifth birthday. I was surrounded by number of gifts wrapped in glossy and glittery papers. Everyone was singing birthday song for me. My grandparents were blessing me.My friends, siblings and cousins were wearing big conical caps and were playing chirpy tunes from their mouth organs.

Gifts wrapped in shiny papers were attracting me. While gazing on gifts the other thing that caught my eye was "a purana denim jacket". While gazing through that some questions were flickering my mind. Who gifted that? Why it is not wrapped in a glittery paper like other gifts? Why it looks so old?

The jacket was looking as if it has some magic in it. I wore that coat, as it was attracting me and I went away from the party place. I went to the market. I was shivering due to severe cold weather. I put my hands in the pockets. Ohhh… Wow…I found a 50 RS note in the pockets.

I bought some chocolates for myself and ate them. Then I decided to go back to home. On the way I saw a poor old man shivering, I wished I had helped him. I put my hands in the pocket and I found a 50 RS. Note once again. I gave that money to the poor old man and I told him to by some clothes for himself. I again put my hands in the pocket OH…wow…yippee…50 RS.Note once again. I again did the same thing and I found 50 RS. Note. I was repeatedly doing the same thing and I was getting a 50 RS note again and again. That was not the common jacket. That was the magical jacket.

I thought that I would be the richest person on the earth; if I'll get 50 RS every time I'll put hands in the pocket.

Suddenly I heard a voice Ankit! Ankit! wake up! Good Morning! Happy Birthday.

Oh no that was just a dream….

This February, I will turn 18 and I still look for the old denim jacket in between the gifts.
